I'm looking for a toothbar for my 60" loader bucket on a 1510 Ford. Woods has a TB and a CETB model, one is standard, the other is heavy duty. Is the standard model heavy enough for digging dirt? The heavy duty version is over $100 more, is it worth the extra money? Does anyone have any recommendations for another brand?
Thanks,
Jim

A little tough to say if standard or HD is better. If it's a NH or Ford loader on the tractor a dealer may be aware of several choices of after-market suppliers. There is a discussion of a home-grown rock-picker in the archives but I can't recall if part of the picker was a tooth bar or not.

My own notion is that a tooth bar for a loader is almost essential for digging. I never had much luck without one myself but I may have gotten the hang of my box scraper before developing I developed decent loader digging skills. I would keep in mind that HD probably means it weights more than a standard one, which would detract from the loader's lifting capacity. It might be better to avoid HD models unless the extra strength is actually needed.

Jsheds,
Don't bother with the HD. Your 1510 will not have the ability to tear it up. The HD is designed for skid steer applications.
Better yet, there are tooth bars designed specifically for compact tractors. Their are even named "Tooth Bar Jr." They are lighter weight for compact tractors while still offering big tooth bar features like T-1 steel shanks for long life. ABC Groff is a dealer not too far from you who can ship them factory-direct. Check under "ATI" or the compact tractor attachments section.
You will love the tooth bar. Its like a boost in horsepower! Plus, it saves wear & tear on you, your tractor, and your loader. ....

That's what I wanted to know. I didn't think I had enough power to need the HD, but not having seen the standard one, I didn't know. ....
